Big Al
Listening to the radio was Big Al's passion throughout his childhood in Brooklyn and as a New Jersey teenager.
His interest and fascination with this medium led to involvement at a small college station(13.21 Watts believe it or not!) back in the early 1980s.
During the 1984 winter break(up late with the radio on) he stumbled into 89.1 WFDU. The overall station sound and on-air talent made an indelible impression on him. A few months later Big Al joined WFDU to host the Tuesday "New Music Alternative" overnight. He was promoted to the Saturday overnight in 1986.
